Silazane

Description

Clear, ultra-thin polysilazane/siloxane nano-coating for knife blades. Forms a covalently bonded ~3 µm layer that fills micro-pores, adds corrosion resistance, reduces friction, and improves lubricity and wear resistance. Cures at room temperature (dry to touch in ~25 min; full use in 24 hrs; full cure in 5 days). Optically clear, does not alter steel hardness, and can be reapplied after sharpening. Optional brief heat cycle further increases hardness and durability. Wipe-on application.
